What information is being collected?
IPN will be what’s known as the “Data Controller” of the personal information you provide to us.  We only collect personal data about you which enables us to process your participation in IPN.  This includes your name, occupation or practice, address, email address, phone number and bank details.You may contact the Data Controller by emailing [email protected]
 
What we do with your information?
We use your personal data to keep you informed of IPN business, to enable you to connect with other IPN Participants and to process your annual voluntary contribution.

 

How is it collected, processed and stored?
Your personal data is collected on the basis of consent and is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR.  We gather your consent to collect and use your personal data through our “Initial Contact Form” that you complete to become a Participant in IPN.  
Any paper documents that contain your personal date are stored inlocked filing cabinets.  Digitally, your personal data is held securely in password protected format. 
We will use the data from those forms to create a group email list (currently through Google Groups) which is the principle way of circulating information about IPN activity and business and connecting participants across the whole Network. 
 
How long do I keep your personal data
We will keep your personal data for as long IPN exists until you notify us that you no longer wish to be a Participant with IPN.  You may do this at any time by emailing us at [email protected]

 

Who will it be shared with?
All the personal data we hold is processed by IPN in the UK. 
We will not share your data with any 3rd party unless we get your consent to do so. 
No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. 
 
What are your rights?
You have the right to request:
  • information about how your personal data is processed – see above
  • a copy of that personal data
  • that anything inaccurate in your personal data is corrected immediately
You can also:
  • raise an objection about how your personal data is processed
  • request that your personal data is erased if there is no longer a justification for it
  • ask that the processing of your personal data is restricted in certain circumstances
