I have forty years experience of supporting people through difficult times, twenty years as a qualified counsellor, ten supported and challenged by my IPN colleagues. My aim is to work in partnership with clients, providing a safe space in which to explore and develop a greater awareness of self, hence discovering heightened abilities to manage life issues.

I am currently the Professional Governance Lead (part-time) for a long established charity. The teams I work with provide counselling in GP surgeries, a Children and Families Bereavement Support  Service and support for families caring for a child with a life limiting condition. My previous experience includes teaching on Counselling Courses through to qualifying level, working as a social worker in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service where I was a member of a Family Therapy team and developed skills using play and creative techniques whilst supporting children and young people. My work as a counsellor has included supporting those living with depression and anxiety, grief and loss, the effects of childhood and adult abuse, plus multi-cultural and spiritual issues.
